Position: Engineer I
Location: Waukegan, IL & Libertyville, IL
Salary: $48,320 - $71,375
Job Summary: Responsible for troubleshooting, diagnostics, repair and maintenance of pumps, motors and other physical plant equipment, including plumbing, electric and HVAC. Will need to maintain equipment record logs, daily turnover reports, and completing electronic work orders.
Becoming an Engineer I would allow you to be involved with the maintaining of buildings and equipment within local government, ranging from Administration Offices and Courtrooms to Detention Facilities to Coroner's Offices. Your day will consist of maintaining HVAC, refrigeration, and fire suppression equipment. You will have endless opportunities to impact and make a difference within Lake County. Being able to build working relationships with employees, 30 countywide departments and the public, is sure to keep you interested and continuously learning.
In order to be successful in this role you should have a Stationary Engineers License and valid State License along with, two years of experience. Individuals should have a working knowledge of boilers, chillers, fire pumps, air handlers, and building automation systems; possess the ability to effectively problem solve and have the ability to work both individually and in a team atmosphere.
