The Database Administrator (DBA) provides advanced technical expertise in the design, implementation,
support, and maintenance of the county's database management systems (DBMSs) that support institutional and
enterprise business applications. Performs feasibility studies, cost/benefit analyses, product research, and priority assessments. Recommends new technologies, tools, methodologies, policies, and procedures to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, excellence, and security of the County's software and data-related operations.
Must have successfully completed college level course work in related topics, or attended related professional
seminars, or have equivalent professional experience. High school diploma is required. Must be able to supply
written proof of completion for all course work and/or degrees that are being used to satisfy the minimum training requirements. Must possess a valid South Carolina Driver's License. Applicants shall provide a current copy of their Motor
Vehicle Record (MVR), obtained at the applicant's expense.
