The position collaborates with APD Police Officers and departmental units in various community engagement programs and events that encompass crime prevention, community resources, community education, law enforcement accessibility, community outreach and more. This position will attend Austin Quality of Life Commissions. They will assist with implementing, coordinating and participating in all other OCL programs and events, such as National Night Out, Pride Parade, Faith & Blue weekend, Seniors & Law Enforcement Together, Operation Blue Santa and Coffee with a Cop.
