ABOUT THE POSITION
To perform a variety of duties involved in maintaining the custody of inmates in the County jail; and to perform a variety of work in the monitoring of prisoners and in maintaining jail security. This recruitment will establish a hiring list to fill future vacancies within the Colusa County Jail.

Meeting the minimum requirements will not guarantee advancement in the selection process. The State of California Corrections Officer Examination will be administered as part of the selection process. A qualifications appraisal interview will be used to assess the candidate's knowledge, skills, and training experience. The top applicants will be ranked on a hiring list to fill future vacancies within the Jail Division. The Sheriff will make the final selection and appointment.
