    Job DescriptionMichaela Barnett's campaign is a dynamic, scrappy, grassroots-driven effort to flip TN-02 blue and create real change in our district while we do it. This district is the longest held red seat in the country with Republicans consistently winning 60%+ of the vote. However, this year is our opportunity to be bold, creative, and contribute to a dynamic, lasting movement to build a better future for East Tennessee.You'll gain hands‑on experience working on a campaign, access to the candidate and senior staff, and our support when you're ready for a reference. We also offer weekly interactive professional development sessions and trainings with experts and local leaders. Through this internship, you will develop valuable capabilities and connections that translate beyond the political space.Please be aware that this is an internship with a modest stipend, the focus of which is helping young East Tennesseans learn the skills and knowledge necessary to support Democratic campaigns up and down the ballot.ScheduleThe internship program runs for 9 weeks: June 16th through August 13thInterns will work ~15 hours per week, with core work hours being Tuesday – Thursday afternoonsThis is primarily an in‑person role. Tuesdays will have our interactive professional development sessions and trainingsOther Key DetailsThere are four tracks for internships: Field, Current Events, Social Media, and Opposition ResearchEvery intern will also complete a capstone project related to their track and their personal interestsThis internship includes a modest stipend – we offer $200 to help cover gas and other expenses.
