Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.ResponsibilitiesProactively identify and assess platform integrity and abuse risksDevelop technical detection and mitigation strategiesReact to investigate potential issues such as scams, fraud, and illicit goods/activitiesPartner with cross-functional teams and deepen our relationships with themConduct periodic reviews to support legal and compliance obligationsExecute with consideration for customer privacy, targeting activities of indisputable harm and avoiding overreachBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree and 4+ years of professional experience in global affairs, intelligence, or investigations; OR 6+ years of professional experience in global affairs, intelligence, or investigations in lieu of a degree4+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), geospatial tools (e.g., ArcGIS), and/or statistical software (e.g., R)4+ years of experience investigating, mitigating, or dealing with illicit operators (e.g., fraud, abuse, cybersecurity, or other illicit activities)Preferred Skills and ExperienceStrong analytical research and communication skills, including excellent written and oral communication skillsInternational professional exposure (e.g., working abroad or on global initiatives/businesses)Experience in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or vulnerability assessment in high‑stakes environmentsExperience with research and intelligence analytic techniques, including open‑source intelligence (OSINT) data techniquesAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment in a fast‑paced, high‑tech environmentHighly organized with a strong attention to detailAbility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlinesFamiliarity with U.S. and international economic sanctions and export control laws and regulationsActive Top Secret or Top SecretSCI clearance or willing to pursue an Active Top Secret or Top SecretSCI clearance preferredAdditional RequirementsAbility to travel as needed for business (15%)This position is based in Bastrop, TX and requires being onsite—remote work not consideredMust be able to work extended hours and weekends as neededCandidates will be subject to pre‑employment screening, including background check and drug/alcohol test, as well as random drug and alcohol testing during employmentTo conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
