The candidate will receive general supervision and instructions are given for routine work while detailed instructions are given for new activities or special assignments. They are able to resolve routine questions and perform more advanced functions.What you'll get to doRead and interpret blueprintsLay out articles, cuts parts or materials to size and apply liquid or solid bonding agentsUnderstanding of ply orientations and vacuum bagging processesOperate autoclave, hydraulic presses and ovens to complete bonding cycleControl conditions of heat, pressure, and timing by setting and operating various controls according to the specifications for the materials and the bonding agent being usedSand, burs and smooth over areas, apply sealing resins to cut or exposed edgesMonitor and verify quality of finished productComplete repairs on composite, metal or laminate bonded products using inspection and rework instructions.
