    OverviewQuiddity Engineering is looking for a Transportation Practice Leader to help grow and lead our presence in Tampa, FL.This is not a plug and play role. It is for someone who wants to build something, shape a team, and have a real say in how a transportation practice grows in the region.ResponsibilitiesYou will take the lead on growing our Transportation Planning and Traffic practice locally while staying involved in the work itself.Build and execute a vision for growing transportation services in the Tampa market.Work directly with municipal, DOT, and private clients including both existing relationships and ones you bring or develop.Lead delivery of transportation planning, traffic engineering, roadway, and or ITS projects.Play an active role in business development from strategy to pursuit to win.Help shape the direction of the practice, not just execute within it.From a leadership standpoint, this role is about:Setting direction and building a team around it.Creating a culture people want to be part of.Developing and mentoring engineers.Owning project performance and profitability.Building long term client relationships that turn into repeat work.You will have the autonomy to grow your own practice within the company, with the backing and support to actually make it happen.This is for someone who wants more than just managing projects. It is for someone who wants to build a practice, grow a team, and have a direct impact on how work gets done in a market.Qualifications15 plus years of experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering, roadway, or ITSLicensed P.E.Proven track record of winning and delivering work locallyStrong relationships with local agencies, municipalities, and or DOTSomeone who understands how to move projects forward, not just design themExperience leading teams, managing projects, and developing peopleComfortable being client facing and involved in problem solving early, not just reacting lateCompensationBase salary in the 150K to 200K range depending on experience. Strong bonus structure tied to performance and growth.Opportunity for ownership.
