    Dispatcher

    Montana Materials & Construction, a CRH company, is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Dispatcher to coordinate the daily scheduling and dispatch of trucks, materials, and equipment. This role is critical to ensuring efficient operations, on-time deliveries, and excellent customer service across our construction and materials operations. The Dispatcher will serve as a key communication hub between customers, drivers, plant personnel, and field teams.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Control the number of drivers needed throughout the day and make any necessary adjustments that will maintain the goals set by the company.
    • Have a pleasant and accommodating voice over the phone and always demonstrate a positive attitude.
    • Develop a positive rapport with Drivers and company supervisors.
    • Demonstrate familiarity with delivery areas and must be able to assist drivers in finding jobsites.
    • Must be able to determine travel time to jobs and best plant location to service jobs.
    • Able and willing to work overtime and varying shifts including early mornings, late afternoons, and Saturdays.
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers regarding orders, deliveries, and scheduling.
    • Accurately enter and manage orders in dispatch and ticketing systems.
    • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
    • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers.
    • Work closely with plant managers, project managers, and field crews to align production and delivery schedules.
    • Ensure accurate documentation of load tickets, delivery records, and billing information.
    • Track daily production, loads, and delivery metrics.
    • Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and service levels.
    Qualifications

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.     • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in logistics, transportation, or construction preferred.
    • 2+ years of dispatching, logistics coordination, or construction industry experience preferred.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to problem-solve and make quick decisions under pressure.
    • Proficiency with computer systems, dispatching software, and Microsoft Office.
    • Knowledge of DOT regulations and local geography is a plus.

The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move from 10 to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
