Fire Protection Engineer (Senior - Level)

Fire Protection EngineerLocation: 100% Onsite at Ogden area (relocation allowance available). | Job Type: Full-time | # of Hires Needed: 2 | Pay Range: $100,000-$180,000/yr.Company: Cimarron is a global solutions company providing engineering support to the U.S. Air Force's Sentinel program.We require U.S. citizens able to obtain a Secret Clearance and a valid Real ID driver's license. 6+ years of fire protection experience, degree or certificate in Fire Protection, or high school diploma with certification.Key DutiesDevelop, refine, and implement Fire Protection documents and tools.Assist in development of fire protection program requirements.Maintain in‑depth knowledge of the fire protection discipline.Assess implementation and compliance with the Fire Protection Plan (FPP).Identify and report deficiencies to management.Review and maintain understanding of facility Fire Hazard Analyses, Fire Protection features, process flow diagrams, system design descriptions, and documented safety analyses (DSAs).Perform facility audits per the Fire Protection Facility Assessment plan and review Pre‑Fire Response Plans.Assist in coordination of fire department familiarization tours.Perform and record monthly facility fire protection inspections.Maintain functional understanding of inspection, testing, and maintenance for fire sprinkler and alarm systems.Oversee Hot Work Permit program, audits, and evaluations.Perform Technical Safety Requirements inspections of assigned facilities.Provide backup to fire protection staff to ensure implementation of the FPP.Identify and implement actions to promote improvements and correct deficiencies in FPP implementation.Assist in identification and clarification of fire protection attributes in the planning process.Assist in development and approval of compensatory actions for fire system impairments.Arrange for and/or perform presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other contacts.Oversee field activities through inspections, testing, and equipment operations.Required Skills, Experience, and EducationU.S. citizen only.Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.Valid, unexpired Real ID‑compliant driver's license or state ID.Ability to complete pre‑employment background check and drug screening, including testing for marijuana use.Six or more years of fire protection experience.Degree or certificate in Fire Protection.High School diploma or equivalent with Fire Protection certification, or Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection.Desired Skills, Experience, and EducationP.E.
