This position operates and maintains all plant equipment, processes and facilities associated with the District’s potable system and non-potable dual irrigation system including: Advanced water treatment processes utilizing GAC Pellet treatment technology Well pumping and flow monitoring Performs routine and emergency operations and maintenance work including, but not limited to: repairing pumps/motors controlling and adjusting chemical feeds responding to alarms setting appropriate flow and pressure controls on the potable and dual irrigation systems facility and building upkeep Qualified candidates are required to have: High School Diploma OR equivalent combination of education and experience Colorado Water Operator and Systems Certification Valid, current Colorado Driver’s License Solid mechanical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills Effective time management skills Effective communication skills Proficient computer skills including MS Products, Outlook and water treatment SCADA technology Work collaboratively in providing the best level of water quality to the District residents Must be able to respond to inquiries and emergencies, which may occur after hours, holidays and weekends, as well as participate in the on-call rotation as necessary. Must be able to lift 60 lbs occasionally and work in a variety of facilities, temperatures and weather conditions. Successful candidates will be required to complete a drug screen and background check prior to employment. Directly supervises, mentors, directs, assigns and schedules plant personnel Evaluates, develops, maintains and continually improves the water supply systems Oversees routine and emergency operations and maintenance Acts as the Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC), per CDPHE regulations Qualified candidates are required to have: High School Diploma OR equivalent combination of education and experience Colorado Class A Water Operator and Class 4 Distribution Systems Certification.
